This position serves primarily as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for ADI Division, Tampa, FL. Position is responsible for the development and administration of information systems security procedures for standalone customer information systems and networks supporting DoD programs. The candidate will be responsible for system compliance auditing, security plan development, performing self inspections and developing and implementing information system security education and awareness.
The ISSM is the primary liaison with government information systems security officials (e.g. Defense Security Service representatives), to obtain and maintain approvals concerning classified processing on IS and networks. Prepare documentation, including Information Security Plans, outlining regulations and establishing information system security policy. Investigates information system security violations and prepares reports specifying corrective actions for the current situation and implements preventative actions to be taken for the future.
Additional Responsibilities
• Support multiple VMare environments , including system administration of the OS
• Identifying tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Development Teams
• Documenting tools and processes when needed to meet contract requirements and organizational goals
• Responding in a timely manner to requests/issues from across the organization to allow for Engineering processes to continue to operate smoothly
• Provide On-call support as necessary
Required Skills
• Thorough understanding of NISPOM, ODAA, RMF requirements to include eMASS
• Experience developing IS security plans, policy and procedures
• OS Configuration and Administration Knowledge (Windows)
• Solid understanding of IP networks
• Self-motivated individual that can work independently of others
• Ability to work well with other people
• Excellent oral and written communication and time management skills.
Desired Skills
• Knowledge in Windows operating systems.
• IS Security knowledge in system auditing.
• Knowledge of computer forensics tools and investigative methodology.
• System Security and Hardening
• Certification in systems administration (MCP, LFCS, CompTIA Security+ , etc)
Basic Qualifications
• Must be a US citizen with a final government granted Secret security clearance (preferably a Top Secret).
• Must have completed DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Training Level II Certification (Security+, SCNP, etc.). Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation is desired.
• 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related information technology field with three years work-related experience.
• Working knowledge of system security intrusion detection, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, Assessment and Authorization, information assurance principles (Confidentiality, Integrity, availability, access control), and security testing.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of Windows.
• Knowledge of computer system hardware components and associated requirements.
• Working knowledge of design process, defense in depth, engineering life cycle, information domains, cross domain solutions, identification, authentication and authorization, system integration, risk management, and contingency planning.
• Familiar with relevant encryption equipment protection standards and information systems security guidance outlined in National Security Agency Communications Security publications, Intelligence Community Directives and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, DoD 5220.22-M
