MEDICAL ASSISTANT - CERTIFIED
The Medical Assistant is responsible to provide basic patient care assistance to the physicians, greets patients and ensures efficient triaging, records and documents vital signs, patient weight and basic medical history, prepares patient for physician examination, assists physician or APRN with procedures, provides instruction and basic education for various ancillary tests and procedures, performs EKG testing, maintains general appearance, cleanliness and safety of all patient exam and waiting rooms, ensures that all exam rooms and patient care areas are stocked, assists with various front office functions such as filing organizing patient medical records, insurance verification and authorizations, answers phone, monitors and maintains inventory and equipment and performs other duties as assigned.
