Memorial Hospital is currently accepting applications for an ARDMS credentialed Vascular Technologist (RVT) on a PRN/per diem basis in our Ultrasound Department.  The Vascular Tech is responsible for producing quality, diagnostic ultrasound images, both vascular and general, ready for Radiologist interpretation.  Flexible availability to cover shifts plus call for all Ultrasound exam types at either hospital location is necessary for consideration.

Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Medical Sonography
•
Current ARDMS (VT) credential
•
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
•
Recent Vascular Tech experience in a hospital setting is a plus!
•
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to ultrasound
•
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques specific to ultrasound
•
Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation exposure, hazardous materials and infection control policies
•
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
•
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
