Job Description
Kelly Services is seeking a Chemist Technician V in Tampa, FL to perform analytical testing and review raw data generated in accordance with GMP and GLP guidelines to support quality efforts for a medical device company.
• This is a second shift role, full-time (40 hours/week) assignment.
• Duration is until the end of the year with possibility of extension.
Responsibilities of the Chemist includes:
• Perform and coordinate analytical testing for functional group Finished Products, Stability, Raw Materials , and reviews raw data generated in accordance with GMP guidelines.
• Perform and trouble-shoot USP, EP, BP, and in-house methods using wet chemistry and advanced analytical techniques / equipment, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR Spectroscopy, TOC analysis, etc. for release testing of in-process, finished product and stability.
• Review and disposition all test data for applicable test articles.
• Develop and write analytical laboratory SOPs.
• Write and execute investigational protocols for analytical procedures.
• Method Validation/verification and transfer of HPLC methods
• Create new and/or revise chemical specifications. and Develops and writes SOP s for laboratory staff for all tests and relevant equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• BS Chemistry, Biology or other scientific degree.
• HPLC method transfer/method validation  USP compendial methods
• 5- 8 years industry experience with HPLC, GC, FT/IR, UV/VIS and other laboratory specialty equipment.
• Expert in pharmaceutical analytical techniques and test methods.
• Must be able to work and problem solve independently and as part of a team.
