Bluestone Physician Services provides expert, on-site geriatric healthcare services to members in the comfort of their own home. We are the largest provider of residential primary care in the nation, serving thousands living in assisted living and memory care communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida.
Join us as a Clinical Assistant (LPN or CMA) working to fight the current COVID-19 pandemic in our most vulnerable communities. We have an increased need for testing and we need your help to keep our communities safe. This particular role will join our team to exclusively travel the greater Tampa area swabbing for COVID-19 testing within assisted living and memory care communities and group homes. When requested/as needed, you will travel to different facilities to swab patients and staff members to support Bluestone's testing efforts. You will also handle the necessary documentation and paperwork that goes along with these visits. Of course, you will be provided the proper training and PPE to complete your work safely and efficiently.
We anticipate this temporary position to last through the pandemic season. You will be reimbursed for all of your travel/mileage. Open weekday availability, is preferred, though we anticipate most travel will occur in the afternoons. You will work from your home and as requests for swabbing are received, you will collaborate with our internal testing triage team to coordinate facility visits based on the needs of our patients and communities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Active LPN license required - or - Medical Assistant certification or registration through accredited program required
• Valid driver's license and willing to travel throughout Twin Cities (and occasionally beyond)
• Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes
• Technology and computer proficient, electronic medical record systems experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Detail oriented and accurate
• 45+ WPM typing
• Demonstrated compatibility with Bluestone’s mission and operating philosophies
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
