Full Job Description
Individual who is self-motivated but at the same time is able to work in a team environment.
Ability to participate in all interventional nephrology procedures including, but not limited to, arteriovenous fistulograms, hemo-dialysis catheter placements, exchanges and removals, thrombectomies, and angioplasties. Ability to perform all QC procedures for imaging equipment. Works with interventional nephrologist to ensure proper procedure technique. Adheres to sterile technique when required for procedures. Adapts to the workflow plan set out by supervisor as necessary to a changing environment.
ARRT registry required. BLS required.
Education / Training: Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology
Licensure / Certification: Florida licensed Radiologic Technologist
Assists in the technical performance of diagnostic and/or interventional procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of all-procedural changes and equipment updates. Assists interventional nephrologist as a scrub assistant. Interprets application and technical aspects of all equipment and supplies used in all procedures. Verifies the operation of imaging equipment for all procedures. Provides communication in a positive manner. Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills as required. Verifies all procedure documentation is complete and legible. Verifies medical records for completeness and accuracy of the patient studies. Assures the patient's education of procedure performed, needs, safety, and comfort are met while in their care. Demonstrates the knowledge of aseptic technique required with procedures with open wounds.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience.
