Overview
Patient Care Technician (MA or CNA)
Physician Partners of America (PPOA) is an established and growing multidisciplinary integrated healthcare organization. We have multiple locations in both Texas and Florida with our corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL.
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our ASC patient care team. We are looking for a team-player with exceptional customer service skills, capable of providing the outstanding patient experience characteristic of Physician Partners.
Responsibilities
• Transport patients safely through facility
• Assist with turning over operating rooms between cases occasionally
• Assist in monitoring and recording in environmental and equipment log. Answer phones and data entry.
• Uses equipment in safe and effective manner; reporting repairs to appropriate person.
• Competent and responsible in prevention of contamination and transfer of infection.
• Assist RNs in pre-op and PACU. Some duties may include helping patients get dressed, removing IVs, checking blood sugars, making patient follow up phone calls, taking patients to their vehicles, cleaning stretchers, etc.
Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office and EHR software
• Excellent Customer Service skills
