Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
• Must have 1- 3 years ’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a podiatry office helpful
• Must have experience verifying patient information by speaking in a professionally and caring manner with patients
• Must have experience in recording patient medical history confirming purpose of visit
• Must have experience working with EMR
• Must have experience preparing patients for Exam with doctors by taking preliminary physical tests, take blood pressure, weight and temperature of each patient reporting patient history summary
• Must have experience HED Electronic Health Records, Cerner or E-Clinical or Allscripts
• Add New Patients/ Update old patient records
• Refill RX's for patients
• Medical Records
Requirements:
• Must have at least three ( 1- 3) years recent experience as a Medical Assistant in a podiatry office helpful
• Must have prior experience as a Medical Assistant in working with patients and taking each patient to patient rooms
• High school diploma
• MS Office proficient
• Must have prior experience working in a medical practice or dental practice
• Must have experience with EMR ( Electronic Medical Records )
• Must have experience with Check in / Out of patients
• Must have work experience with Insurance Verifications
• Must have experience with Patient Prescription Refills
• Medical Records
• May travel between offices as needed South Tampa/ Temple Terrace
