Position Highlights: The Research Associate I assumes the responsibility of performing and supporting research within the NCI-funded Ponce Health Sciences University-Moffitt Cancer Center Partnership. The Research Associate has responsibility to the Co-Leader of the Puerto Rico BioBank (PRBB). Ideal Candidate: Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities: Individual responsibilities include preparation of PRBB tissues and samples for the PHSU-MCC Partnership and maintaining laboratory and data records within the Biospecimen Management System. Maintains laboratory equipment in clean and working order, including coordinating instrument standardization documented by a written report. Reorders stock laboratory supplies when depleted under appropriate supervision. Credentials and Qualifications: Bachelor#s Degree in a relevant field is required. Hands-on research experience required.
