As a Mobile EXAMINER , you would be a part-time, on-call and at-will employee.
What does this mean?
• On-Call and At-Will = Flexibility! You will choose the days and hours you wish to work and the areas you wish to work in. You are in control of your own schedule and manage your own calendar.
What is a Paramedical Exam?
A paramedical examination usually includes the recording of height, weight, three blood pressure readings and a resting pulse, noting irregularity if found. The exam may also include the collection of blood, urine, and a 12-lead resting EKG, depending on the insurer’s underwriting guidelines for age and insurance amount. The exam may also include a personal interview to collect information about the applicant’s medical history and/or completion of a cognitive function assessment. All of this information allows the insurance company to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s current health.
Where is the exam performed?
Exam One mobile paramedical professionals perform examinations at the applicant’s home or workplace. This is determined by the applicant.You will also have the ability to work at the office location completing exams at one location.
How long will the examination take?
The examination time can last from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the number of necessary services. A typical exam takes around 20 minutes.
What about Equipment and Pay?
Supplies and equipment are provided (or loaned) such as a scale, blood pressure cuff and stethoscope to our examiners with the exception of a few small items necessary, such as measuring tape and black ink pens. You are paid for each case on a fee-for-service basis and are paid every other Friday. Fees typically range between $17-$27 per exam.
Requirements you must meet:
• Every paramedical examiner must be a skilled phlebotomist and must have a minimum of 100 documented successful practical blood draws . We will need to verify this prior to starting the on-boarding process.
• Must be skilled in taking blood pressures and pulses .******
• Must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• It is required that you have a computer (high-speed internet), printer & fax machine (or scanner). You are responsible for reviewing your orders on-line; printing the questionnaire forms from our website, and then faxing or scanning the completed paperwork upon completion (same day).
• Must pass our background check and drug screen prior to starting.
• Cell phone is required
• Bi-lingual and EKG experience is a plus.
