Full Job Description
The Caregiver assists in maintaining a high quality, positive, safe physical and social environment for residents,guests and fellow employees. This position must be executed with the utmost professionalism possible. Reports to Director of Nursing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Familiarizes themselves with resident care needs and assists residents with activities of daily living asassigned, such as, but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulating and toileting.
• Maintains a safe living environment, free from hazardous pathways.
• Notifies supervisor daily of changes in resident behavior and participates in care meetings as needed.
• Assists with social and leisure activities.
• Applies daily the principles of infection control and attends updates as mandated.
• Provides assistance with ambulation via wheelchair, walker or other assistive devices.
• Attends all appropriate training as mandated by the State. This training must be completed in a timely fashion. Onsite training available.
• Communicates resident needs and problems to incoming staff before leaving shift
• May be required to take med pass training and be responsible for passing medications.
• Changes beds and does laundry as needed
• Takes responsibility for Resident's safety
• Empties trash
• Keeps records as directly
• Shares resident concerns with supervisor
• Supports the resident-centered activity program
• Supports marketing by giving tours and information when asked
• Assists in dining room when needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 12 hour shift
