Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner - St. Joseph's Hospital-South (Riverview)
BayCare Medical Group is actively recruiting for an experienced Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join a new program at St. Joseph's South Hospital located in Riverview, Florida. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of palliative care, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and will be comfortable working independently.  This is a great opportunity to assist in building a full palliative care program.
Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) certification is required within two years of employment.
The Advanced Care Practitioner (ACP) in a medical specialty area extends the services of physicians by providing assessment and management of patient care. Medical Specialties include, but are not limited to secondary care areas, such as neurology, pain management, nephrology, endocrinology, oncology, etc. Services that this position may provide include physical exams, interpreting diagnostic tests and counseling patients about treatment. This position will also provide coordination and clinical services across the continuum of care for medical specialty patients. This position operates under physician directed protocols for all Advanced Care Practitioner duties. ACP must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
