JOB TITLE: HR Manager
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Chief Financial Officer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintains strictest of confidentiality.
Selects, trains, orients and managing personnel. Conducts merit evaluations, and undertakes disciplinary actions.
. Gather communications regarding payroll changes during the 2 weeks between each payroll that need to be made. Make sure that payroll policies are followed by team leaders. Oversees the PTO accrual process. Interface with ADP to make changes to payroll design as needed. Produce reports from payroll for 401k, GL Administer all changes within payroll each year as salaries and benefits and benefit costs change.
Oversight of Benefits, FMLA, Short term disability, questions regarding benefits and claims, Flex account intermediary and our employees. Benefit orientation and terminations, exit interviews and auditing the benefits bills to see if all deductions are matching. Organize enrollment meetings
Interface with Brokers for plan design for health insurance, and other benefit options, including dental, vision, life, Flex, cancer.
Verify eligibility for 401(k) enrollees; organize enrollment meetings twice per year.
Plan administration for 401(K) Plan. Handle questions, rollovers, hardship withdrawals and questions from current and previous employees; distribute information regarding investment results. Complete audit paperwork once per year.
Building and Property insurance, keeps insurance company informed as we acquire and dispose of properties. Quote insurance once per year.
Oversight of all AP. Check AP for appropriate categorization of expenses.
Malpractice Insurance quote/renewals/enrollments. Enrollments for new providers, terminations for previous providers. Quote new malpractice yearly for all providers.
. Interview employees, who have claims, work toward resolution of their possible claim.
Prepare paperwork for unemployment insurance requests. Document reasons for terminations, and acts as representative for company during disputes.
Organize and report to team leaders regarding evaluations and pay increases. Reduce overtime on weekly basis by alerting concerned employees, team lead
Reporting for daily deposits .
Reporting for Bonus checks and interface directly with providers regarding these numbers when necessary. This is quarterly for many providers, and monthly.
Administer contracts that are drawn up between OMP and providers. Besides bonus reporting, this involves CME’s, benefits, and terminations.
Manages reimbursement, accounts payable, claims processing and cashiering.
Manages departmental performance and complies with fiscal governmental reporting requirements,
including tax reports.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of HR, management experience prior experience with a health care organization preferred
KNOWLEDGE:
. Knowledge of governmental and health care fiscal regulations and reporting requirements.
. Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet, Outlook, ADP and other programs and applications.
SKILLS:
1. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
2. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
3. Skill in identifying and resolving employee problems, behavior issues.
ABILITIES:
. Ability to encourage motivation, innovation, and high performance.
. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity using calculator and computer keyboard.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Could be occasional evening or weekend work.
