Job Description
Seeking individual with exceptional patient care skills with a commitment to imaging excellence.
Full-time MRI Technologist position.
Tuesday thru Friday 1:30pm - 9pm Sat 7am - 4pm

MRI Technologist
You will be responsible for:
• Reports and resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner, treating all customers with courtesy and respect
• Effectively communicates with Radiologists, Supervisor and Co-workers
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures on all patient age groups
• Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex. Provides patients with efficient and courteous care
• Proficient on the use and operation of the specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures
• Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging services administration
• Works with department staff to facilitate patient care across modalities
• Works in conjunction with other departments to facilitate patient care
• Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required meetings and staff development programs
• Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources
• Recognizes and reports malfunctions in equipment, discontinues use before a more costly repair is needed
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures safely and in accordance with ACR standards of care. Selecting proper technical factors and proper patient positioning
• Is familiar and complies with appropriate JCAHO and ACR standards and directives. Able to teach the same
• Follows patient identification/verification process prior to performing all patient exams/procedures
• Monitors and accesses patients during procedure in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
• Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development
Qualifications
• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as RIS, Radworks, and Current PACS application
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain responsibility for all personal continuing and annual education requirements
• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures as required by the ACR, ARRT and the State of Florida
• Ability to follow Advanced MRI Safety concepts of to ensure patient and all staff members safety
• Florida State License Required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Committee of allied Health Education and AMA accredited school of Radiology Technology, 1 to 2 years experience within their respective fields
• ARRT Certification Required
• Associates Degree Required
Prior experience/knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
