Senior Social Scientist and Assessments Lead - SOCOM Barbaricum | Tampa, Florida 33601 Unspecified Top Secret IT - Data Science IT - Data Science Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Social Scientist to lead the Assessments portfolio for a web-based Military Information Support Operations (MISO)/ Information Operations (IO) contract supporting US Special Operations Command. The Assessments Lead will leverage subject matter expertise in research methods, data analysis and military operations to provide clear and actionable assessments of performance and effectiveness of web-based MISO/IO campaigns aligning with specific SOCOM objectives and Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) needs. This individual will oversee assessments strategies at the enterprise level as well as those developed at the individual GCC levels.
Responsibilities
Maintains and improves comprehensive assessment strategy that aligns with supported military objectives and strategic direction
Analyzes and refines employed assessment methodology based upon lessons learned, changes in guidance, changes in reporting requirements and emerging technology
Provides metrics and assessment of program performance and effectiveness
Ensures quality of regional assessment efforts and implementation of best practices across program
Condenses assessment findings regarding individual/team performance and program objectives into concise reporting for diverse audiences
Responds to urgent, ad-hoc requests for analysis and interpretation
Provides inputs to technical infrastructure, data analysis, and data management solutions Provides inputs to operational guidance for future activities
Qualifications
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance required
Master’s Degree in a Social Science discipline or related to Operations Research and Systems Analysis
10 years of related experience, including experience supporting IO or MISO
Excellent data analysis, extraction and communication skills
