Job Description Home Instead Senior Care is seeking a qualified individual for Human Resources Assistant for our Henderson, KY satellite office.
The Human Resources Assistant is expected to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and retention of quality CAREGivers to serve our elderly clients in western Kentucky. This person will also coordinate with the scheduling department to ensure appropriate matching of CAREGiver availability and skills to meet client needs. Experience in Human Resources and Staffing preferred. This position will report directly to the Director of Human Resources in Henderson, KY.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies within the community to meet manpower needs.
• Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in a proficient and professional manner.
• Create and maintain all employment records to include initial hire, training, rewards, and disciplinary measures.
• Conduct reference checks, criminal background checks, drug screens and motor vehicle records checks
• Schedule and conduct CAREGiver orientation and training with direct participation in planning/presenting trimester CAREGiver meetings.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Plan for and create new innovative methods for employee retention and job satisfaction..
• Work with the staffing department to schedule CAREGiver shifts.
• Assume on-call responsibility as the acting supervisor after company hours.
• Coordinate with Human Resource Director to ensure policy and procedure adherence by CAREGivers
• Respond to authorized requests for information regarding CAREGiver employment
• Maintain required state/federal forms as required
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in Human Resources or Health Care Administration preferred but not required.
• Experience with HR and fast paced scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and conduct presentations for large groups of employees
• US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA and FSLA preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• HR, CNA , LPN, RN and/or caregiving experience a plus!
Salary range $10 - $14 hourly
