Project Safety Coordinator
Scott and Murphy, Inc. is a growing Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator. The successful candidate will work full-time on one of our larger construction projects located in Owensboro, KY.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor, coordinate, and implement occupational safety and health programs.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA and related compliance activities.
• Able to write specific site safety plans, conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and provide guidance toward appropriate corrective action.
• Provide training support for assigned program areas.
• Audit compliance and develop corrective action reports.
• Maintain a working knowledge of statutory requirements related to the environmental, safety, and/or health regulations.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
• Occupational Health and Safety Degree, Diploma or Certificate or CHST would be an asset.
• 3+ years building construction health and safety field experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Self-motivated with a strong work-ethic
• Pass a required pre-employment background check, physical & drug screen
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving history
