GENERAL SALES MANAGER / GENERAL

Jerry Ray Davis CDJR is hiring now for an experienced General Sales Manager / General Manager to control the sales floor of their new, state-of-the-art dealership! All candidates must be energetic, positive, and possess great people skills. This role is hands-on, and involves working leads, desking deals, papering deals, making sure contracts and rebates are collected, and training sales staff. Candidates must have at least 3 years of stable employment history as either a GSM, Sales Manager, or Finance Manager in automotive.

Responsibilities – GSM / GM:
• Accountable for daily performance metrics and overall store performance including but not limited to:
• Daily reviews of sales forecasts to ensure that the department is on track to meet or exceed forecast.
• Quickly formulating a plan to meet forecast if a department is off track.
• Manages all inventory including new and used inventory to ensure adequate turn.
• Supervises Sales Consultants, F&I Managers, and BDC staff.
• Ensure that benchmarks for closing ratios are being met by sales department including sales and BDC.
• Oversees the hiring and training new employees.
• Actively supports and motivates sales staff to achieve maximum results, maintain high morale, and provide an enjoyable atmosphere.
• Exhibits a professional management style that sets the example for enthusiasm, productivity, and accountability.
Qualifications – GSM / GM:
• At least 3 years of stable employment history at the GSM, Sales Manager, or Finance Manager with a verifiable track record of profitability, market share performance, and above average CSI.
• Chrysler experience preferred
• The highest professionalism and integrity are essential for consideration
• Must be well organized and demonstrate excellent Customer Service and PR skills
• Must have strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Must have great computer skills
