Metrocare is the largest provider of mental health services in Dallas County, serving more than 57,000 adults and children annually. For more than fifty (50) years, Metrocare has provided an array of services available to people with mental and developmental disabilities. In addition to behavioral health services, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, accessible pharmacies, housing and supportive social services. Through the Altshuler Center for Education & Research we are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County.
JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ECI Business Support position is responsible for coordinating and performing all clerical support needs for the ECI program, ensuring family satisfaction, and flow of office operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implements and maintains designated processes as a member of the ECI team.
• Answers ECI office business line calls during hours of operation.
• Processes all ECI referrals, incoming Parent Arranged, Parent Choice, or Not Part C progress notes in PsychConsult within assigned timelines and with accuracy.
• Processes all Program Permission for Therapies (PFTs) and weekly/monthly TKIDS data reports into the TKIDS system.
• Creates and gathers Medical Charts, as needed.
• Gathers and processes all programs incoming faxes and mail.
• Maintains updated demographic information in PsychConsult.
• Greets and Checks-In all visitors at front desk stations and provides clerical support to include copying, faxing, and all other general office duties
• Places clinical transactions for evaluations in Show status, as needed.
• Complete daily confirmation calls for program evaluations and group therapy services.
• Confirms payor and completes financials authorizations, as needed.
• Responsible for cleanliness and set up of ECI lobby and Therapy Cottage.
• Coordinates needed supplies for team with Program Manager, as necessary.
• Attends ECI Team Meetings as required.
• Provides backup support to Medical Records as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School graduate with some college or technical school/training with a minimum of 4 years of progressive customer service experience required.
• Experience in a business office or MH/MR setting preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to work with reports and numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
