Position Purpose
Plan and Coordinate the logistics services, storage and/or distribution operations within the PGL organization or the activities of external organizations that are engaged with PGL in storing or distributing materials or products.
Tasks
• Pack, re-pack, unload, and position product/goods in or around transportation vehicles.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using operational documents.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
• Sort, record & organize cargo/customer goods before loading and unloading or situating for storage.
• Confer with customers by telephone, email or in person to provide information about products or services related to their contracted offerings, take or enter orders and obtain details regarding inventory or storage.
• Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Years of Experience: 0 - 1 years related experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or Industry related certification
Knowledge
Transportation — Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
