Full Job Description
The world’s leading manufacturer of window covering products in Owensboro, Kentucky is looking to hire employees for the following positions.
Assembly Operator - Production
Duties may include manual assembly of injection molding and/or purchased components into semi- finished products, work with automated/semi-automated machines, testing product according to quality criteria, feed machine components as needed to prevent down time, etc.
Molding Operator - Production
Duties may include monitoring production on multiple plastic injection molding machines, reading part criteria and testing product according to said criteria, hold, break off, sort and manipulate small parts, climb ladders to clean hoppers and dryers, load dryers, hoppers and color feeders to feed automatic machines, etc.
Packer
Duties may include ensuring all products are packed correctly, labeled properly, and then moved to the appropriate area to await shipment. Must be able to input data into SAP (inventory system), use scanners, print labels for product. Calculate piece counts from piece weights and perform basic functions on a calculator. Must be able to move product with pallet jacks and 2-wheelers, inspect all products for quality defects prior to packing, operate the auto bagger and manual bagger machines, be able to determine from an open order status which customer ordered the product and place the product on the proper pallet for shipment. Must be able to determine how to package all products from the packing work instructions.
Requirements
• High School Graduate or Obtained GED
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Background free of felonies in the last 7 years
• Must be able to read and comprehend English
• Must be able to work OT and weekends as needed
Standard Shift Times
1st Shift : M-F 7A - 3:30P ($9.00 per hour)
2nd Shift: M-F 3P- 11:30P ($9.25 per hour)
3rd Shift: S-Th 11P-7:30A (9.50 per hour)
Job Type: Full-time
