Part Time: 20-30 hours per week - Including some Saturdays
Coverage Area for Inspections: Hillsborough County
Coverage Areas As Needed: Surrounding Counties
Schedule : Daylight hours
** Must be available to train for seven consecutive business days, for approximately 6-8 hours per day (this is a paid training)**
Property Inspectors work from their home but most of your time will be traveling to surrounding homes and businesses to complete detailed property inspections. Property inspections are primarily completed for insurance purposes (renewals or new plans) and data collection for residential appraisals. Inspectors complete both exterior and interior inspections that consist of:
· Taking photographs. Photos can include things like; all sides of the home, hazards, outbuildings, sheds, roofs, and more.
· Measuring the exterior of the home for square footage and translating this information into a diagram for our customers to see the layout of the home and the total square footage. You will also diagram living space, attached and unattached structures for each property. All diagramming is done in our mobile app.
· Using our mobile app to fill out forms for our clients. The forms are where you will go into detail about many different aspects of the home including construction information and materials used for the interior and exterior of the home, the foundation, hazards, and more. You will also be required to explain your findings.
· Correctly identifying the building grade and materials found in kitchens and bathrooms along with correctly identifying heating & cooling systems, plumbing and electrical systems.
· Scheduling and making appointments as well as Interviewing homeowners/policyholders regarding their property.
Training: Mueller provides a 7-business day, paid training program designed to equip you with the knowledge required to complete comprehensive inspections of properties. Within the training program, you will learn about construction materials/grades, how to accurately measure a home, how to take required photos, how to complete efficient inspections and more. Upon completion of the training program, you will be set up for success in your endeavor to complete quality inspections!
Please note that for the first 7 business days of employment, you will be expected to dedicate 6-8 hours per day learning your new role.
Requirements :
· Must be available to work 3 days a week for a full day (6-8 hours per shift) and some Saturdays
· Must own a mobile Phone (iPhone or Android) with camera functionality and unlimited data capabilities
· Must be proficient with either iPhone or Android devices
· Must have a reliable desktop or laptop, and a printer, for use at home
· Must have High Speed internet access at home (a hotspot would not qualify)
· Must have an active, valid driver’s license and loves to drive good distances
· Must have an economical and reliable vehicle (and current insurance on that vehicle)
· Must be financially able to pay for fuel until first pay check is received
· Must live in the area you are applying for
· Must have business casual attire to be worn while completing inspections
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must be a self-starter and able to work independently

· Comfortable entering homes unaccompanied to complete inspections

· Knowledge in real estate, homeowner’s insurance, maintenance, HVAC, valuations, property management, or other inspection services preferred.
· Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Crouching, lifting light objects, and walking on uneven grounds is frequent
