Busy and growing Tampa law firm is seeking a full-time administrative professional to assist with scheduling and other related duties. Firm will train the right person and definite opportunities for growth in a thriving plaintiff’s first party property damage law firm. Candidates must have excellent verbal communication and writing skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to interact with clients and willingness to be a team player.
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks and duties such as incoming and outgoing phone calls, opening and managing files, scheduling appointments, managing the incoming and outgoing mail, drafting and mailing documents, data entry, performing clerical tasks, and providing general administrative assistance to staff, as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of modern office equipment (printer, copier, fax, scanner)
• Knowledge of and efficient computer skills: Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to deliver timely work
• Strong work ethic
• Sound judgment and ability to act independently when necessary
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously over period of time
• Ability to work cooperatively with diverse individuals both internally and externally to the law firm
• Professional, positive demeanor with ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel and transport self to other locations
• Ability to take initiative, be resourceful and proactive
Law firm experience is a plus, but accuracy, a congenial attitude and team player mentality are even more important. The person filling this position will be the first contact a prospective client will have when they call our firm; so the person that fills this position must have a warm, friendly and professional presentation on the phone and in person. Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), WordPerfect and Clio or other case management software will be beneficial to anyone in this position.
