Systems Administrator
Summary/Objective
Physicians Toxicology Laboratory, LLC is offering an outstanding opportunity for a talented Systems Administrator who will be responsible for assisting to grow the Company’s IT department for our small company. We are looking for a hardworking, engaged, friendly, energetic person who is a self-starter and has a positive attitude.
This person needs to be an independent worker for this is a one-person IT department. This person will need to be able to manage internal projects as well as provide timely email and phone support to internal customers located on and off-site.

Required Education and Experience
• Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience and a Certification level operating in a mission-critical environment.
• Candidate will be skilled in the implementation, configuring, and supporting TCP/IP networks.
• Candidate must demonstrate his/her expertise with Windows Server 2008/2012 and have a thorough understanding of Hyper-V technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Essential Functions

• Help desk/troubleshooting support to on-site and off-site internal customers.
• Physical maintenance of IT infrastructures
• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Maintain system efficiency.
• Ensure system design allows all components to work properly together.
• Make recommendations for future upgrades.
• Maintain network and system security.
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Evaluate and modify the system's performance.
• Identify user needs.
• Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Perform network address assignment.
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
• Projects as assigned by company need and management

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an exempt hourly full-time position that is located onsite.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
