What you’ll be doing...
Design and develop full stack Java web application using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and interface with REST APIs. Design and develop a high traffic, distributed, resilient, enterprise grade web application framework to serve data to peer IT applications via REST APIs and user interface. Utilize Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive and Oozie to enable application to serve as a single source of blended data for various fiber based products, including FiOS, Ethernet, Private IP, Internet, and 5G, to enable sales, marketing, and business analytics teams the ability to generate intelligent sales leads to increase penetration of fiber assets and grow revenue. Serve as UI lead and carry out UI design and implementation for security, admin interface, and data visualization. Address urgent issues, guide, and drive developers to integrate securely with REST services. Perform code reviews, prioritize enhancements, estimation, and scheduling. Support hotfixes and participate in requirement calls with business team. Work with relational database management systems Oracle and PostgreSQL. Work with business SMEs to understand the functional domain and design database model for consumption layer served by Postgres and NoSQL databases, including SOLR and Elasticsearch. Develop code using technical design document of the solution that includes Visio diagrams, process flow, business rules, database design, REST API contracts, and other relevant details. Develop JAVA frontend and backend services to serve a modern responsive UI that suits the needs of sales and marketing teams. Develop backend services using REST APIs, IDEs, Spring, Spring Boot, and JSON. Troubleshoot high traffic frontend and backend systems to determine the root cause of latency and fix issues. Use knowledge of how web traffic flows from the web server to the backend, how a page is rendered, the various elements, including DNS, connect, wait, and load times, and SSL issues to troubleshoot slow performance. Employ knowledge of UI and UX concepts and design. Identify and fix issues with scalability, latency, throughput, and bottlenecks. Log and monitor setup, analyze logs, and identify trends and analytics and use to drive root cause analysis. Deploy and orchestrate Docker and Kubernetes containers on a Cloud platform. Employ DevOps and Agile principles. Responsible for CI and CD pipeline development and deployment utilizing Jenkins, Ansible, and Jira for various cloud applications. Troubleshoot and resolve QA and Production issues.
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience designing and developing full stack Java web application using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and interfacing with REST APIs. 4 years of experience developing backend services using REST APIs, IDEs, Spring, Spring Boot, and JSON. 4 years of experience with relational database management systems Oracle and PostgreSQL. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the skill sets above. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience with CI and CD pipeline development and deployment, including Jenkins and Ansible. Experience therein to include 2 years of experience with NoSQL database, SOLR, or ElasticSearch. Experience therein to include 1 year of experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive and Oozie.
