TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country. Under the guidance of the Director and Epic Training Manager of Organizational Development, the Epic Trainer follows established policies, procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice to align education goals with business needs and identified strategies of Tampa General Hospital. Designs overall learning plan and specific training plans, delivers training, and facilitates organizational change. Specific responsibilities include conducting of training, communication of training programs, ensuring training materials meet organizational requirements, coordination of the training environments; and measurement & evaluation impact of education, and contribution to the improvement of human performance. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Job Summary
Required experience includes:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2 or more years’ experience providing (in)formal training, 3 or more years’ experience working in a healthcare environment related to the primary Epic Orders application, 3 or more years’ experience, expertise using Microsoft Office products, & knowledge of adult learning theories and the basics of instructional design. Ability to work in an adaptable, fast-paced, and results-driven setting; Ability to learn quickly, thoroughly, and in detail; Ability to be team-focused and self-motivated; and Ability to creatively meet needs of the end user & TGH.
Preferred experience includes: Certification in primary Epic Orders application (or willingness to obtain upon hire) and credentialing in primary Epic Orders application.
