The Procurement Assistant assi sts the Shared Services Center and the Procurement organization to process orders from purchase requisitions, assuring accuracy and timely processing and clear interface and communications to the vendor and MRO Warehouses. Sets up and updates procurement data on systems. Assists with various projects as needed, supporting the SSC Procurement Supervisor on its initiatives .
What will you do?
• Create and maintain purchase orders for tactical purchases, ensuring proper procedures are followed and documentation is in place. Determine if requirements to issue PO are met according to guidelines
• Verify the master item catalog and check the need to add items to stock requests and SSO process (substitutions, supersession and obsolescence)
• Procure items on price contracts and punch out catalogs
• Assist with expediting materials planning and purchasing and interface with MRO Warehouses, having precise and clear communicating methods via in person, email or phone
• Add and set users in procurement systems and setup and update vendor data
What do you need for this role?
• High School Diploma/GED and 1+ years of Administrative, Customer Service or related experience required
• Associate or Bachelor Degree and 3 - 5 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Shared Services or related experience preferred
• Microsoft Office experience required
• Customer service skills to assist internal and external clients required
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions accordingly to the guidance received required
• Strong attention to detail required
• Data entry accuracy required
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills in working with various disciplines and functions required
• CPM, CPSM, SCMA preferred
Maximo, SAP Ariba preferred
• Knowledge of procurement activities.
• Ability to seek and identify possibilities to improve the efficiency of daily activities
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
