The Supervisor Procurement s upervises, coordinates, and plans activities of a team of procurement assistants ensuring quality of their work products, and assisting in the resolution of issues that arise. Also work together with the team on daily activities whenever needed to fulfill the demand. Leads the team on seeking for opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborates with Corporate Procurement to develop and implement improvements. Assures that other internal clients receive accurate and timely procurement information from the SSC Procurement team. Assists the SSC Director with various projects and initiatives as needed.
What will you do?
• Lead the team and ensure the correct procedures are followed by the team when creating and maintaining purchase orders
• Supervise the master item catalog movements and ensure that items are being add accordingly to stock requests and SSO process (substitutions, supersession and obsolescence)
• Support Procurement organization to develop and maintain procurement policies, drive process improvements within SSC and interface with IT to identify, scope and implement automation opportunities
• Guide the team on procuring items on price contracts and punch out catalog
• Be accountable for the team interface with MRO Warehouses and other internal clients
What do you need for this role?
• School/GED required with 5+ years experience in Procurement, Customer Service or Shared Service and 1+ years’ experience in a Supervisor role
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or related field with 3+ years in Procurement, Customer Service, or Shared Service preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite and SAP Ariba or related required
• Knowledge of procurement processes and their interdependencies with other areas required
• Leadership skill to provide the team with clear guidance and work with them on the daily processes required
• Customer service skills to support internal and external clients required
• Ability to make on the spot decisions to get product where and when it needs to as economically as possible required
• Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills required
• Ability to effectively work with employees at all levels within the organization required
• Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Innovative mindset to support continuous improvement initiatives required
• Experience with business management, customer service, procurement, shared services preferred
• Experience leading a Shared Service team preferred
• CPM, CPSM, SCMA preferred
