Consultant: Engineering Process Support
Previous Telecom is required.
Responsibilities:
• Lead cross functional teams (Engineering, IT, Provisioning) in driving positive results for multiple activities related to the strategic wireline network initiatives
• Exhibit system knowledge in ICGS/IDDS, RequestNet, TIRKS, COA and COEP
• Knowledge of ISP/OSP transport equipment (ROADM, DCS, SONET)
• Exhibit Outside Plant Engineering or Field Engineering disciplines
• Lead the development and implementation of internal process and standardization initiatives
• Provide support and direction for the integration of companywide, standard processes
• Provide technical solutions to engineering, including process and training documentation
• Provide training via different mediums to impacted organizations.
• Develop network initiatives and lead both small and large projects to improve productivity
• Coordinate and lead UAT testing efforts
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years’ experience in Engineering and/or an Engineering support function
• Experience in one or more ISP/OSP Network Engineering disciplines including, but not limited to: IOF, Access, Data
• Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization; and to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross functional teams
• Ability to be a technical strategic thought leader as well as a “hands on? implementer
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives with competing objectives
• Desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed.
• Experience with Engineering Inventory & Provisioning systems
• Experience with Word, Excel, Visio or iGrafx
A solid understanding of relational databases (SQL experience a plus) Ideally you have:
• MBA
• PMP Certification
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
• Proven Information Technology Project Management experience as the client. Employment Type: CONTRACTOR
