Full Job Description
We are a food additive company seeking an energetic, reliable person to join our production team!
The Production Distillation is responsible for filling and assembling products, maintaining a high degree of organization and cleanliness. Should be good with numbers and a quick learner. This position requires high attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be efficient with repetitive movements and enjoy this sort of work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Safely operate pumps, compressors, fired heaters, reactors, distillation columns and other plant equipment within safe operating ranges.
• Inspect and prepare equipment and machines for safe and proper operation.
• Sampling and handling chemical raw materials and finished goods, handling organic solvents, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and performing some analytical and lab tasks. Calculate various measurements using basic math skills.
• Make changes to the operating process necessary to maintain product quality.
Monitor the performance of plant equipment and process conditions.
• Safely Operate Forklifts.
• Visually inspect production run and document results
• Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.
• Create finished packaged inventory.
• Keep a clean and efficient work area.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior production/manufacturing machine operator experience.
• Forklift experience
• Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with unit conversions.
• Ability to stand extended periods of time, lifting up to 40lbs, climbing stairs/ladders, exposure to ranging temperatures (inside and outside).
