Full Job Description
A 38-year-old regional manufacturing company looking to fill an Accounts payable/accounting position.
Applicant must be detail-oriented.
Must be able to work under tight deadlines.
Candidate should have good customer service and overall understanding of accounting. The applicant should have strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities.
Tracking Expenses, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information, Accounting, Vendor Relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Experience in manufacturing accounting a plus!
Minimum 2 to 4 years of accounts payable experience in a fast paced environment. Familiar with a variety of the multiple locations in a company

Accounts Payable:
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense report; recording entries.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. * Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepares check runs * Receiving and verifying reimbursement expense reports
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
