Full Job Description
Primary responsibility is to deliver world-class customer service to customers. This requires strong interpersonal skills, effective oral/written communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team. We are looking for someone who is energetic, outgoing and has a customer orientated personality. This position is a challenging one requiring an individual to be able to multitask in a fast paced environment. The associate will received and process a variety of shipments (UPS, freight , USPS), operate copiers, fax machines. laminating & binding equipment and point-of-sale device. He/She will have strong retail experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, a professional appearance, and will be a fast learner ho makes an effort to learn all aspects of The UPS Store in the shortest possible time. There is a great deal of training for his job. As a result, after one year you will have a new and very valuable skill set.
Requirements:
Able to work 25 to 30 hours per week (5 days) must work Saturdays 9am to 3pm.
Ability to process transactions quickly and accurately
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
Preferred candidates will have knowledge of adobe creative software.
Ability to stand for several hours and able to lift 50 lbs
Detail oriented, organized and able to multi task
Able to manage workload and prioritize multiple projects
Strong verbal/written skills, to include spelling and math.
Prompt reliable, and responsible
Good communication and people skills and outstanding phone skills.
Must be able to operate independently or as part of a small team.
Previous shipping and packing experience preferred, not required.
This associate must be able to work Holiday shifts, especially December retail season.
Reliable transportation and possess a valid Florida Drivers license
