Eby-Brown Company, LLC, one of the largest suppliers in the convenience distribution industry, is seeking strong and confident candidates for a Day Warehouse Assistant Manager position at its new facility located in Gibsonton, FL.

The Day Warehouse Assistant Manager is fully accountable for supporting the Day Warehouse Manager (DWM) in directing all aspects of receiving inbound freight and stocking. The Day Warehouse Assistant Manager will place a priority on safety, quality and positive teammate relations in the process of directing the scheduling, receiving and stocking replenishment of all inbound freight.
Essential duties and responsibilities in conjunction with the DWM;
• Thorough understanding of all warehouse processes and work flow.
• Assists in maintaining personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse receiving and stocking processes in an effective and efficient manner.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary. Helps develop supervisory leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members.
• Monitors a variety of operational information, such as inbound freight schedules, stocking productivity reports and tracking replenishments. Takes action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors.
• Responsible for assisting with all employee relations issues and evaluating individual and overall warehouse performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 2-3 years’ experience in supervisory/leadership capacity.
• Forklift Certified preferred
• Night shift experience is preferred not required.
Skills and Competencies:
• Must have good leadership and motivational skills
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills; broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Effective time management skills
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are usually Monday – Friday, 5:00am until finished.
