Full Job Description
River Hills Golf and Country Club in Valrico, FL is looking for an experienced line cook with dedication, a TEAM FIRST attitude, and the willingness to learn in a creative and detail-oriented kitchen. We here at RHCC take extreme pride in the love and time that we put into our food, and all applicants should have the desire to be part of a great family here on property. We are a true "scratch" kitchen, making our own bacon, our own cheese, and taking the time to turn fresh, raw, local product into delicious plates for our members and guests.
Experience in Cold Prep/Salads, Garde Manger, Desserts and hot and cold appetizers are a bonus, though training will cover all 4 line cook stations available.
This is a part time position to start, with the transition to full time happening as banquets and holidays arrive. Availability MUST include Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, with 25-30 hours a weeks to start at the position. As stated above, cold appetizers and salad station experience is a bonus; any experience on Saute and Grill is also a plus. This is a great opportunity to get in the door at a VERY FAST GROWING food and beverage department in the country club business.
Our kitchen is closed on Mondays, and for the time being, open for dine-in customers with limited seating capacity with adjusted hours through the week. Applicants should be physically able to lift 50 lbs, work shifts where being on their feet for 3-4 Hours at a time is physically possible, and the willingness to be part of a WE FIRST environment. Applicants should be prepared for a phone interview with the Executive Chef; qualified applicants will then be scheduled for an in-person interview with the Executive Chef, along with a kitchen stage for 2-3 hours where applicants will be asked to perform kitchen duties related to the position.
