Full Job Description
Essential Job Functions
Understand and monitor the thermoforming process to ensure products being produced are within specifications. Be able to perform routine quality checks of item being produced off the line. Assist the process techs with line troubleshooting, startups and shut down procedures. Perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Education and Experience
• Must be able to read, write, Speak and comprehend English.
• High school or GED equivalent, reading, writing and basic math skills - must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert fraction to decimal equivalent, and understand percentages.
• Manual dexterity required for working around machinery
• Must possess good reasoning skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
• Know how to use and read a dial indicator.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Basic knowledge of fasteners
• Knowledge of the types of materials used in the plant and what types of lids they are used for.
• Know how to start, stop and lockout each of the extrusion lines.
• Knowledge of equipment used on each line.
• Knowledge and terminology of the thermoforming process.
• Knowledge and terminology of the tooling used in the process.
• Ability to monitor the extrusion line to produce products that are in spec.
• Ability to use micrometers & micro scales for quality control of product.
• Ability to take directions, assist and communicate effectively with Process technicians to maintain line conditions.
• Work safely and efficiently without constant supervision.
