Job Title: HR Administrator
COMANCO has an excellent career opportunity for an HR Administrator.  Our construction management team is looking for a self-driven and energetic HR Administrator: someone who wants to work for an established and successful nationwide construction company, going above and beyond in their position to help COMANCO meet its business goals.

The HR Administrator is a professional who is trained in the various aspects of the job adheres to federal and state employment laws. The HR Administrator carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, and employment.
The HR Administrator must demonstrate good judgment and experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment; demonstrate excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy. Perform a wide variety of tasks; the ability to change focus quickly as demands change is essential and must utilize practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently administered both in the department and companywide.
• Assist in the New Employee Orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals and ensure applicants and employees gain an understanding of the Company Policies & Procedures.
• Process all pre-employment and new hire paperwork and documentation. Assist with new-employee onboarding to ensure an effective new hire experience.
• Verify I-9 documentation and perform New Hire Reporting to government entities accurately and timely. Serve as a backup for the E-Verify Program and ensure the Company remains in compliance with all laws applicable to I-9 and E-verify.
• Answer inquiries pertaining to job applications and job openings.
• Update information in the employee files, scan and retrieve documents from employee files and search employee files and furnish information to authorized personnel.
• Ensure HR forms are organized and updated to ensure current forms are readily available.
• Assist with collecting renewed employment authorization documents and renewal documents.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Process and assist in the resolution of the COMANCO employees' requests.
• Communicate proactively and work with department managers to resolve employee concerns and issues and identify administrative needs that occur on a routine basis.
• Advise Human Resources staff and Management of existing or potential problem areas.
• Responsible for Item Management Tracking in Spectrum, this includes collecting tracking forms for company issued items and providing forms to the managing employee upon notice of a termination.
• Blog about employee anniversaries, new hires, promotions, special events, wellness, and other HR activities in a timely manner.
• Book hotel, flight reservations and car service for new hires as needed and as requested by Management.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; attend training and seminars to stay current of Human Resources laws, legislation, and trends.
• Enhance the department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership of HR responsibilities and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Serve as a backup for the front desk and perform all related front desk duties and responsibilities while the receptionist is on break/lunch and when the receptionist is out or unavailable.
• Assist Management with other duties and tasks, as requested.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
• To successfully perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Education: Associate's degree is required or a combination of education and experience in HR.
• Experience: 3 years or more in Human Resources. Recruitment experience is required.
• Skills: The ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Proven ability to properly and accurately record transactions and prepare management reports on a computer. Ability to communicate effectively and positively with employees and outside entities in English.
• Problem Solving: The able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and understand how to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must be able to work under time and budgetary constraints.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Safety and Security: Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
