Job description:
Alvarez & Marsal is looking for an inquisitive and detail-oriented IT Database Analyst with a passion for assessing and improving data and information quality to work within its Client Relationship Management (“CRM”) Team.  The CRM Database Analyst will ensure data is accurate, properly organized, and integrated within our Salesforce ecosystem to assist in the areas of data management, data quality, and data integrity.  The Database Analyst will work with our systems and internal stakeholders to assist in developing a daily data integrity strategy for our CRM and related data.
Essential Functions:
Data Quality:
• Work with business units to develop and maintain data quality rules, procedures, and policies.
• Develop dashboards/metric reports and conduct daily data analysis to measure the effectiveness of data governance within the organization.
• Cleans and maintains the database by ensuring accurate structure, managing metadata, removing and export/archive/delete as necessary. This position will develop and implement a plan for the review, consolidation, and deletion of duplicate and invalid records in Salesforce.com.
• Help define data quality KPI’s and monitor and measure them against completeness, validity, accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timeliness.
• Escalate data quality issues and help identify solutions to correct problems.
• Drive data cleansing activities throughout the organization.
Data Maintenance and Change Management:
• Support the master data entry and maintain master CRM data and provide guidance to other data system team members to support business processes.
• Perform audits of CRM data upon entry as well as review incoming requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate the flow of information between all departments responsible for data elements.
• Creates and maintains documentation on the workflow process, with detailed roles and responsibilities.
• Support future data system integration efforts within the division process by evaluating new data sources for adherence to the A&M's quality standards and ease of integration.
Salesforce Data Analysis and Governance:
• Develop strategies for warehouse maintenance, data acquisition, and archive recovery.
• Operate the collection of documents from regions, business units, and project teams.
• Mastering and conducting the archivist aspects of the data-related documents and business needs.
• Help ensure consistency and accuracy of all CRM customer data and other data domains daily.
• Ensure that the highest quality data is delivered, managed, and maintained via data governance strategies.
• Assist in developing catalogs and hierarchies to categorize master CRM data for improving decision making.
• Work with key stakeholders to improve process efficiencies and improve the overall satisfaction of internal customers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred) or 4 years' minimum experience with big data.
• Mastery of operating technologies such as CRMFusion’s suite of Demand Tools is required to be successful in the role.
• Extensive experience in data quality assessment, and proven track record of designing and distributing systems that encourage data integrity.
• Extensive experience working with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com.
• An understanding of technology and systems flow and controls with experience in data stewardship, governance, or analysis.
• Exceptionally close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to be able to present complex ideas and solutions to senior management in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to drive change and improve processes, organization, and documentation.
• Ability to discuss details of complex data quality or workflow issues for internal review.
• Experience in creating or maintaining requirements documents, process flows, protocols, and decision trees.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of master and reference data elements, processes, and organizational support models.
• Experience in IT and/or Finance a plus.
• Familiar with marketing concepts and mass email campaigns.
