Description The Director, Site Reliability Engineering maintains, integrates and improves software applications and platforms across multiple IT development, production support, and infrastructure teams to ensure application health, performance and continuous improvement for a dynamic and growing set of business units. The Director, Site Reliability Engineering requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. Responsibilities The Director - Site Reliability Engineering - Security and Shared Services is responsible for leading, multiple large teams driving stability, reliability, automation, security and performance improvement for key IT and business platforms, solutions, and shared Corporate applications. The SRE Director will partner with multiple IT areas in the enterprise and multiple business and IT executive leaders. This role requires a highly experienced, accountable, independent leader making complex decisions and working across multiple business and IT organizations to develop this product and support roadmap for critical enterprise applications. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy. + Own stability, reliability, automation and performance improvement across application security services, critical application platforms including cloud and cloud enablement, as well as applications in Humans Shared Corporate Services organization. + Partner with key business and IT stakeholders including IT SVPs for effective application solutions, security and platform enablement with world class user and member experience. + Lead application operational excellence while advancing modernization and cloud transformation + Innovate continuous process improvement and grow a team of 80+ associates and contractors providing 24x7 support and maintenance across 300+ applications. Requirements + Bachelor's Degree in IT or similar field + 10+ years experience in an Information Technology + 5+ years IT leadership experience + Previous roles in production support or application development + Experience with developing or supporting application security tools, cloud applications, and experienced with current technology such as Azure, Google, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and/or Workday. + Experience leading and implementing large scale projects or initiatives + Experience presenting and interacting with executive leadership in business and IT + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + MBA or other Advanced Degree + Previous experience in a management role in Dev or PSM or SRE + Previous experience leading IT leaders Associate Director or Director experience + Six Sigma certification + ITIL certification Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
