Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Order Management Specialist is primarily responsible for processing inbound order requests and following the life cycle of the order to handle complex issues throughout the order fulfillment process. This position makes it significantly easier to conduct business with METTLER TOLEDO working effectively with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Marketing and other departments to provide world class service to our customers, both internal and external. This role serves to demonstrate METTLER TOLEDO's values by proactively driving continuous improvement, delivering quality and performing with integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage inbound inquires for price, availability and order status
Ensure all orders and order change requests are received and processed in an accurate and timely manner following department policies and procedures, while maintaining applicable ISO & Sarbanes-Oxley compliances
Determine accurate ship and delivery dates based on system-generated commitment dates, available inventory, sales forecasting, product lead-time, carrier routing calculations, and customer delivery and method of shipment requests for all items ordered
Work closely with internal departments to ensure delivery commitment dates are achieved
Proactively analyze and follow up on unshipped customer orders to ensure delivery commitments are attained and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
Build quality, long-lasting business relationships with customers, sales, supply chain, finance, quality assurance, and administrative support departments/personnel
Ensure order management reports are reviewed daily and proper action is taken to resolve order issues (Reports: open order, billings due, blocked orders, incomplete orders, etc.)
Assure database integrity by validating and correcting the data housed within our CRM, sales, and service databases at every practical opportunity
Coordinate with supply chain, production, quality, finance, and sales on matters including but not limited to:
Order status, requests to expedite/prioritize orders, special shipping instructions, contracts, credit issues, pricing discrepancies, product availability
Verify that orders will be allocated and ready in timely manner
Resolve shipment issues due to incorrect, missing, and/or damaged product
Work with Finance teams to prioritize shipments coming due that are on credit hold
What You Need to Succeed
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree preferred. High School Dipolma or GED Requried.
2+ years experience working in a customer service role
High degree of initiative and ownership
Attention to detail for both accuracy and content
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. SAP knowledge is desired.
Experience in working in a matrix organization to develop and implement business strategies is required.
