This role will be at our Tampa, FL Headquarters location and will report to the Accounting and Finance Manager. You will be part of a team supporting our growing veterinary diagnostic laboratories across the country.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Prior experience strongly preferred
• The ability to communicate effectively is critical as you will be required to deal with internal staff and external customers
• Full Cycle Accounts payable – Matching bills against our PO system (Fishbowl), entering them into our accounting software, and ensuring all vendors are paid in a timely manner
• Full Cycle Accounts receivable – Processing client payments, depositing checks, answering client’s questions regarding charges, and following up with clients regarding payment status
• Account reconciliation – Monthly reconciliations against bank and credit card statements
• Assist management in various financial analysis and budgeting
• Completes various financial, accounting and administrative reports
• Performs other duties as necessary
This is an entry level position. Candidate should have 1-2 years’ experience in both AR/AP functions and financial analysis.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Abilities
Applicants should be detail oriented, flexible, quick to learn, as well as be proficient in data entry and organizational abilities. Written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role:
• College degree in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent experience is preferred
• Accounting platform experience is a must (QuickBooks and SAP)
• Strong excel skills required
• Ability to meet financial deadlines is critical
• Ability to properly record journal entries and other accounting transactions
• Able to work productively, effectively, and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detailed orientated with regards to data entry
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles
