Global Category Manager – Information Technology – Ybor City, Florida
What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for the category leadership of the Information Technology products and services. You will play a pivotal role in adding value through an aligned supplier negotiation and selection process, driving supplier consolidation and standardization, and implementing consistent sourcing strategies and related programs. In addition, you will be responsible for overall supplier performance with respect to cost, quality, delivery, service and innovation. Lead cross-functional teams in the spend categories of the functional group that they support delivering cost-savings, in-source/out-source analyses, process improvements to eliminate non-value-added work and developing strong internal and external relationships that ensure results are delivered while meeting or exceeding stakeholder objectives. Be responsible for supporting both departments and indirect material budgets. This position will partner with all levels of management on a corporate-wide basis as well as with external suppliers.
What Do You Need?
· Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Materials Management or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
· 3-5 years’ purchasing experience in an applicable category, a multi-location environment, Required.
· APICS and/or ISM certification or ability to obtain within 2 years, Required
