Now hiring a Technical Accounting Manager to join an industry-leading company in the Tampa Bay area!
Job Responsibilities:
• Researches, documents and supports the implementation of the appropriate accounting treatment for business transactions and complex routine and non-routine processes, adoption of new accounting guidance and other highly technical accounting matters
• Maintain global accounting policies and procedures including of identification of policy revisions to ensure accurate and consistent application of US GAAP
• Responsible for researching, documenting, and communicating technical accounting policy under U.S. GAAP on a proactive basis
• Manage the Company's policies manual ensuring it is continuously maintained and updated
• Perform technical research and documentation on complex matters and effectively communicate accounting issues to business partners
• Perform technical accounting research/documentation on recurring complex analysis (e.g. impairment, segments, etc.
• Provide accounting trainings to the accounting organization and to other business partners as necessary
• Respond to technical accounting inquiries from finance/accounting colleagues and external auditors
• Communicate internal accounting policies and accounting updates to finance organization and external auditors
• Support technical accounting treatment with external auditors
Qualifications:
• CPA required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of corporate/public accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 experience
