The Glenmore Distillery is a leading producer and supplier of alcoholic beverage products. Our Owensboro, KY facility has been bottling fine spirits for more than 100 years.
Job Description/Responsibilities
The Receiving Supervisor directs associates in the safe, efficient and successful operation of the receiving area on their assigned shift.
Leads and develops union employees to achieve high quality, cost effective production in a safe and well-maintained facility. Develops employees, leverages skills and resources, and wisely manages assets, all within an environment of continuous improvement.
Meet internal and external customer requirements by ensuring trhat daily deliveries are verified, material inventory
records are up to date and information is communicated in a timely manner to ensure no loss of production due to
materials not received.
Supervise the receipt and unloading of various bottling materials including closures, labels, bottles, and adhesives and
also supervise receipt of goods for other departments.  Verify accuracy of shipment against shipping documents as
freight is unloaded and document and investigate discrepancies.  Ensure information is recorded accurately in company
systems to update inventory records.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office products.
• Working knowledge of shipping and receiving operations
• Successful  management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• The successful candidate will have a minimum education level of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years experience as a supervisor in a fast paced production/distribution environment
• Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.
