What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon Corporate Information Security (CIS) organization securely enables the business by protecting assets and information across Verizon networks, infrastructure and applications. CIS integrates cybersecurity governance, policies, technologies and operations across Verizon, and works to incorporate security into the design of technology systems and services. Verizon Connect’s Identity and Access Management Team focuses on providing Enterprise level solutions for User Authentication and Access Management. The team has developed many custom solutions around Okta, Saviynt, and CyberArk to meet the demand and requirements of Verizon Connect.
As our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Sr Engineer, you will use extensive knowledge of the IAM field along with your hands-on development expertise to help implement and mature a business-focused IAM strategic roadmap. This role will be part of a fast-paced team that is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security technology roadmaps. Which provide an effective security framework, and allow the company to move rapidly, yet securely, toward achieving business goals.
• Development, implementation and successful operationalization of Enterprise IAM Tools.
• Resolves technical issues in the IAM Platform. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for moderately complex issues.
• Assist in determining threats; identify risks and vulnerabilities to the organization, and direct corrective actions.
• Participate in design, code, and test Inspections throughout the product life cycle to contribute technical expertise and to identify issues. Presents technical status and issues at milestone reviews.
• Provide L3/L4 technical support to the operations team as required.
• Works under moderate supervision. Works independently in response to general work direction.
• Develop and test code to deliver functionality that meets the overall business strategy and objectives.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Identity Access Management.
• Experience with either Okta, Saviynt and/or CyberArk.
• Candidate must be able to meet FedRAMP compliance requirements.
Even better if you have:
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• CISSP, SANS, or other security related certification.
• Experience with LDAP/Directory Services technologies.
• Strong knowledge of directory services, Identity and access management technologies.
• Experience with the delivery and support of single sign on, SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with Rest Web services, SSO/Federation architectures and other authentication/authorization protocols.
• Knowledge on IAM concepts such as identity management, provisioning, authentication, authorization, certification/governance, monitoring, role mining along with experience in security best practices.
• Experience in cloud Identity Management.
• Experience with open standards development including XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, AJAX, and Java/J2EE.
• Ability to solve common design and development problems.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
