Position Summary:
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to perform data analysis and be responsible for creating insights, collaboration and recommendations that support Checkers & Rally’s marketing roadmap. This individual will report to the Director of Customer Engagement & Data. We are looking for a self-starter with a wide variety of technical skills and the ability to transform large data sets. You’ll work closely with our Customer Data Platform (CDP) on measuring and optimizing marketing campaign effectiveness to help with guest acquisition, data enrichment, guest engagement and improve customer journeys. This role is data-intensive and could involve use of SQL to pull data for analysis and reporting purposes. The role requires a well-developed business acumen and the ability to ask the required questions.
Position Accountabilities:
Deep Dive Data Analyses
• Design and develop large customer and business analyses that answer key business questions
• Translate business questions into specific data and reporting requirements
• Analyze the data to uncover key insights, create visualizations, craft a coherent story, and present findings
• Identify and surface data gaps and partner on how those gaps can be closed
• Proactively monitor metrics and make recommendations for changes, additional metrics and key performance indicators
Reporting, Data Analysis, and Documentation
• Design and deliver marketing reporting
• Design, execute, and measure a variety of tests for campaigns, offers, and programs
• Design, develop, and monitor dashboards that deliver actionable insights
• Assist in the design and execution of a variety of marketing efforts ranging from customer acquisition to customer retention campaigns
• Lead responsibility for all CDP insights and reporting, including but not limited to: acquisition strategy monitoring, customer value identification, assistance with segmentation
Performance & Success Measures
• Be the SME on Checkers & Rally’s guest data
• Ability to analyze data, discover compelling insights, and develop and communicate related action plans
• Ability to deliver results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
• Ability to work effectively with partners to meet the data needs of the business, translating business needs into analytical requirements
• Ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, rapidly changing environment
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education
• Bachelor's’ degree is required. Graduate degree preferred.
Experience
• 5-7 years of recent experience in a business analyst or data analyst role
• Programming skills in SQL required
• Strong MS Power BI required
• Strong Excel and Power Point skills required
• Experience developing compelling data visualizations, dashboards and reporting
• Strong knowledge for analytics techniques with a genuine curiosity for uncovering shifts in performance
• Experience in customer engagement marketing best practices
• Proactive work style and creative problem solver who has the ability to handle multiple projects, demonstrating a strong work ethic
• Experience engaging with the business and leadership on problem definition
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills

Essential Physical Requirements
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information such as procedure manuals, Company communications or governmental regulations.
• Ability to Travel may be required to attend off-site training, meetings and seminars.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods in one location which may be restricted to the employee’s workstation.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
