Founded in 2006 and headquartered near Minneapolis, Minnesota, Respicardia is dedicated to improving patient outcomes, quality of life and overall cardiovascular health via novel transvenous neurostimulation therapies.
The rem edē System is a safe and effective treatment for moderate to severe central sleep apnea that offers improved patient satisfaction and an overall better quality of life.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Therapy Access Specialist is responsible for the development and adoption of the rem edē System in assigned markets. This individual will develop and execute a therapy awareness plan that is in alignment with the strategic priorities of Respicardia.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Therapy Access Specialist will:
· Collaborate with Territory Managers and clinical support teams to deliver procedural growthby assisting with the achievement of business goals.
· Identify key accounts, health care professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of company products by meeting with existing and potential customers.
· Classify clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. Determine where our therapies can be part of a comprehensive healthcare solution.
· Work to build strong relationships and collaborate with healthcare providers within multiple disciplines to plan therapy awareness efforts in order to identify potential rem edē patients.
· Develop strategic patient pathways in assigned markets to support therapy adoption.
· Work with existing and potential rem edē Program Champions to identify workflow needs, goals, and constraints related to the patient pathway. Nurture new sites in the start-up process.
· Expand the remedē patient pool by developing workflow to identify potential candidates.
· Identify key referral networks for the remedē System.
· Develop and enhance referral relationships through therapy awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, trade show participation and problem resolution.
· Work with the marketing department to modify best practices and winning strategies into tools and approaches that can rolled out to others (both TMs and other TAS’s) – taking the best solutions locally and making them available nationally
· Stay informed on market dynamics and developments relative to sleep apnea therapy.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
· 2+ years of successful sales and market awareness experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for cardiovascular and/or sleep medicine
· Bachelors Degree
· Strong medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience in supporting business planning, forecasting, and sales process
· Able to build and maintain strong, action-oriented customer relationships
· Results-oriented team player
· Demonstrated ability to create therapy awareness strategies to improve patient access in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
· Willingness to travel (locally, regionally, nationally) - approximately 70%
· Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. and global healthcare systems including expertise in health care finance, reimbursement policies related to the device industry, and new technology assessment processes
· Successful organizational, project management and presentation skills
· Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and directly influencing business objectives
· Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Comfortable in a small, dynamic company environment. Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
