Senior Director, Finance (Health Plan)
Position Purpose :
• Oversees monthly financial operations reports to ensure information is accurate, reflects current data available, and meets the needs of the ICNF Board, Finance Committee, and members.
• Staffs the ICNF Board Finance Committee.
• In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and the ICNF Board, establishes the financial strategic vision, and develops objectives, policies, and procedures in support of the strategic plan.
• Provides support to the Chief Executive Officer in contracting with network providers and MCOs.
• Assists in administrative matters as needed in the areas of contract management, network management, and expansion of revenue sources, fiscal planning and management.
• Assists owners and contracted providers with financial inquiries in collaboration with the MSO.
• Establishes annual financial and cost objectives for owners and contracted providers and monitors their attainment on a regular and ongoing basis in collaboration with the MSO.
• Oversees an operating dashboard to monitor ongoing contract performance at the ICNF and individual provider organization level (with the MSO).
• Monitors the performance of the MSO through establishment of best practice claims payment benchmarks.
• Responsible for timely preparation and completion of budgets, including projections of operating costs and revenues projections, P&L and other budgetary items. Works in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and ICNF Board to develop cost projection data to use in performance based contracting negotiations.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory and governing agency requirements; formulates and directs the implementation of finance related policies and procedures; ensures interdepartmental accountability and implements effective internal controls that provide reasonable assurance of compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Develops financial analyses and prepares recommendations to ensure the fiscal viability and strength of ICNF. Makes recommendations to the CEO and Board concerning fiscal viability of projects or major lines-of-business.
• The Senior Director, Finance is an integral part of the senior leadership team and expected to participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the ICNF operational and financial goals. The Senior Director, Finance has responsibility and is accountable for overall financial operations and is responsible for all aspects of the day to day fiscal management of the ICNF.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health and knowledge of MCO Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance.
Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration. MBA preferred. 7 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or behavioral healthcare industry .
License/Certification :
CPA preferred.
