Minimum Requirements:
• An associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, or
• Administrative work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Note :  The incumbent will work 30 to 40 hours per week during the racing season in the State Office at Tampa Bay Downs Racetrack
located in Tampa, Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The selected applicant for this position will spend 80 percent of time processing applications for personnel needing state pari-mutuel licenses to work at the track facility.
• Completes and forwards all applicable reports in the timeframe specified for each individual report and responds to unscheduled assignments as requested to achieve deadline requirements.
• Collection of monetary fees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to maintain strong, positive relationships with colleagues, internal and external customers, and get along with diverse personalities.
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
• Must be detail oriented, have strong computer skills, and the ability to navigate through state and other licensing databases.
• Knowledge of personnel management.
• Ability to understand technical wording such as the Florida Statutes and the Florida Administrative Code.
• Ability to maintain equipment and order supplies.
• Must be available to work afternoons and evenings, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to accurately collect and handle money.
