The 2nd Shift Lead will be responsible for overseeing all tasks associated with the Packaging, Shipping, Production, and Operations departments.
Principal Accountabilities
Primarily duties include operating processing and packaging equipment and backup for various other plant production roles
Operating/Troubleshooting palletizers.
Collect samples/perform quality testing.
Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in the packaging and production departments
Mobile equipment operation including forklifts/sweeper/front-end loader/etc.
Use of a computer in the processing office to monitor equipment in the building,
Operate forklift to empty hoppers and change out full Mini bulk bags and load bulk pneumatic/dump trucks
Perform housekeeping duties in their area and assisting maintenance when required on PM ( preventative maintenance)/repair work
Requirements :
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
High School diploma or Equivalent
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) Forklift certified Prior experience in production related work
