MANAGER OF NURSING - HOME CARE Leadership Hours: M-F 8a-5pm Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-78 - 46016D
Job Summary Responsible for the staffing and administration of a nursing unit or floor. # Job Responsibilities Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements. Assists with the hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of nursing staff. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit. Develops and implements policies and procedures to insure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit. Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to insure compliance with budget guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or Master#s degree in Nursing required upon hire A minimum of 4 years# relevant experience required RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position AND Driver - Valid driver#s license and 21 years of age required upon hire Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
